Agnete

Agnete (1941) was a theatre production by The National Stage, based on a play by Amalie Skram. It was performed at the theatre's main stage.

Egil Hjorth-Jenssen directed it.

Ragnhild Michelsen played the title role.

The production marked the reopening of The National Theatre's building after it had been closed for almost a year and a half. The auditorium and the vestibule were damanged in an air attack June 15, 1940, and the theatre had to be restored and modernised before it could reopen. In the meantime, performances were played in Ole Bull Teatret.
