3 store* (3 greats): The Four Temperaments - Beaches - Medea

3 store* (3 greats) (1985) was a ballet production by The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet as part of The European Year of Music 1985. The production consisted of three ballets, The Four Temperaments, Beaches and Medea. It was performed in the venue the opera used at the time, in Folketeatret.

The Four Temperaments from 1968 was choreographed by George Balanchine, with music by Paul Hindemith.

Beaches from 1974 was choreographed by Glen Tetley, with music by Arne Nordheim.

Marte Sæther again danced the main character of Beaches. She had been given The Norwegian Critics' Award for dance 1977 for her interpretation of the role, and had later also visited the opera in Vienna with it.

Medea from 1959 was choreographed by Birgit Cullberg with inspiration from the tragedy by Euripides, and with music by Béla Bartók.

Bettina Ford danced the role of Medea.
