At the website of The Norwegian Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Revenge:
"Individuals, families and local communities are tested when the mineral industry enter Sápmi for real.
Revenge is a musical theatre production dealing with ruptures in modern Sami society. Established attitudes and lines of thinking are challenged in meeting the new age and day: What is right and what is wrong? New choices force their way through. Which are the choices one has to make? What will be the consequences?
(...)
'There are no simple answers in conflicts about native peoples and nature resources. I have tried to show the'little'human damaged by a conflict in which the loss of a living is a threat. At the same time, I want to challenge old thinking that may stop a culture from developing. If a culture becomes static, it will die. The text is written with much love for Sami culture, but it is also a statement of opinion in the topical debate of majority society's pressure towards one of the most vulnerable agricultures in the world',playwright Sven Henriksen says."
