More

At the website of Hordaland Theatre the following, among other things, is written about The Name:

"We follow a young couple who goes home to her parents. The girl is highly pregnant and they lack a place to live. The Name is a drama about how difficult it is to understand one another and about the longing for someone to care.

The play poses many questions. How far must things go for us to say what is close to our hearts?

Is it always right to tell the truth, if what happened is far back in time?

Are our lives just time passing?

Through putting simple persons in significant situations, Fosse says something universal and important about the modern human being.

The Name had its world premiere at The National Stage during Bergen International Festival May 27 1995. It received The Norwegian Ibsen Award as best Norwegian drama of the year."
