In memory of Vemod
In memory of Vemod (1970) was a production by The Norwegian National Opera. In memory of Vemod was "a play for dancers, magnetophon, four singers and an actor", with music by Ulf Björlin. The production was performed on The Norwegian National Opera’s main stage in Folketeateret.
The director and choreographer was Donya Feuer.
In memory of Vemod was first performed together with Serenade, choreographed by George Balanchine to music by Peter Tchaikovsky and Arcade, choreographed by Attilo Labis to music by Hector Berlioz.
Later in 1970, Aft Vemod was performed in two different productions:
- together with the ballets Summernight, choreographed by Job Sanders to music by Arnold Schoenberg and Symphony in C, choreographed by George Balanchine to music by Georges Bizet.
- together with Luici Dallapiccola’s opera in one act The Prisoner.
