Rigoletto

Rigoletto (1969) was an opera production by The Norwegian National Opera. Rigoletto was based on an opera of the same title by Giuseppe Verdi (music) and Francesco Maria Piave (libretto), after Victor Hugo’s play Le Roi s’amuse. The production was performed on The Norwegian National Opera’s main stage in Folketeateret.

The director was Jens Chr. Ek.

Thorbjørn Lindhjem and Yngvar Krogh performed the title role.

Eva Tørklep Larsen and Ruth Linge performed the role of Gilda.

Rigoletto toured with the Norwegian National Opera’s touring company (Riksoperaen) to Trondheim, Narvik, Harstad and Kiruna (Sweden) in 1969.

Rigoletto was also performed in Drammen in 1971.

Rigoletto toured with Riksoperaen to Skien, Sandefjord and Ålesund in 1976.
