La Traviata
La Traviata (1965) was an opera production by The Norwegian National Opera, based on the opera by Giuseppe Verdi (music) and Francesco Maria Piave (libretto), after Alexandre Dumas the younger's play and novel La Dame aux Camélias. The production was performed at the opera's main stage in the Folketeatret building.
Einar Beyron directed it.
Rhea Jackson, Margaretha Hallin, Eva Tørklep Larssen, Felicia Weathers and Irene Oliver performed the role of Violetta Valéry.
Emilio Tussuto, Sven Olof Eliasson, Arild Eriksen, Olaf Ryan and Ørnulf Vege performed the role of Alfredo Germont.
La Traviata toured with The Norwegian Opera’s touring company Riksoperaen in 1967 to Narvik, Harstad, Trondheim and Gjøvik.
La Traviata was performed in Drammen and at The National Stage in 1968.
La Traviata toured with Riksoperaen in 1975 to Drammen and Sandefjord.
