The Zoo Story

The Zoo Story (2013) was a sign language theatre production by Teater Manu. The Zoo Story was based on the one-act play by the same title by Edward Albee. The production went on tour in October and November 2014, with its tour opening in Kristiansand October 8. 

Bentein Baardson directed it. At an earlier time, he had played the role of Jerry in a televised version of the play for Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.

The Zoo Story is a one-act play about two men, Peter and Jerry, who randomly meet in the park. The play explores themes such as isolation, loneliness, misunderstandings, social differences, failure of communication and blind violence.
