"The peacocks live in Birdland and the Labradors in Dogland. The peacocks are poor and dream of a better future. Perhaps they can find it in the dogs' country? The peacock mother goes alone to Dogland, but the cultural differences are significant, and the rich dogs are not as willing to help as she thought they would be. With a lot of humour the fairytale from the animal kingdom grabs hold of familiar contemporary dilemmas."
