At the webpage of Sadio Nor Teater the following, among other things, is written about Terje Vigen:

"The autumn of 2008, Sadio Nor Teater developed its first wandering theatre production, in which the guide told the audience of the town in past and present, about ways and conditions of living back when Norway was a poor fisherman nation, and underway, the actor showed up and the poem about Terje Vigen was retold in portions at different stations.

(...)

The action of the poem is set in the south of Norway, but the themes connected to the proximity to the ocean, the dependency on import of grains and sanctions, have to a large degree had significance here too."
