Emperor and Galilean by The Norwegian Theatre consisted of both parts of Henrik Ibsen's play. The opening night both Caesar s Apostasy and The Emperor Julianwere performed, but in the rest of the period the parts were performed separately, each its night. The first part was performed 23 times, the second 16 times, during the run.
Sam Besekow was given an award for particularly excellent work by Norsk Teaterlederforening (later: Norwegian Associations of Theatres and Orchestras) for his staging of Emperor and Galilean.
