The Ferry Crossing
The Ferry Crossing is a musical theatre production by Sogn og Fjordane Theatre (SOFT), produced in 2014 and based on a novel by Edvard Hoem. Hoem also has made the adaption for the theatre and Henning Sommerro has written the music.
Yngve Sundvor directed it.
The production is performed at Hordaland Theatre after the finished run in the county of Sogn og Fjordane.

"The novel The Ferry Crossing by Edvard Hoem was published for the first time in 1974 and was nominated for Nordic Council's Literature Prize. It is as topical today as when it was released 40 years ago, and is now brought to the stage in a grandioso musical with popular music!
Experience the largest-scale production at Sogn og Fjordane Theatre ever. We follow a writer's thoughts back to a time he has long finished with. To Ramvik, this windy place nobody ever heard of. To a society that has long been ancient. And people who he can barely remember. But of course he remembers them, once he starts thinking about it. He certainly does: Falling in love, the party, the ferry, the kitchen, the bus station café, the live-in studio, the hotel, the rain? The damned rain."
