Lillian Bikset, Dagbladet, Spellemann med tak i (literally: Fiddler with a grip), 26.02.2010:
"Tevye cannot rule his daughters. But Erik Wenberg Jacobsen can rule the show. His Tevye is the power centre of the production: A coherent, credible person who sees it all and takes it all, but who can also shout and rage. He is presented as a good-humoured everyday philosopher, who meets God and people with the same pragmatic attitude: I am who I am, you are who you are, let us try to get along. This openness - we can very well call it humanist sense - runs through Jacobsen's interpretation of the role, in an immediate emotional presence making us like and sympathise with him from the start until the end. It is also with him in interaction with his fellow actors, who meet him with familiar warmth."
