"Christopher is 15 years, three months and two days old. He doesn't like people to touch him, he always tells the truth, and he goes to a special school. He knows the names of all capitals in the world and the prime numbers up to 7507. He doesn't understand metaphors, but knowing that the universe is endless calms him. And he is very fond of the neighbour's dog, Wellington. One night, seven minutes past midnight, he finds Wellington brutally killed by a garden fork, and he decides to find out who is the murderer.
Crime story and family drama
This becomes the start of a journey upending all he thought he knew about the people closest to him. He, who doesn't like to talk with strangers, gets to know all his neighbours during his investigation. But the most curious things are those he finds out about his parents...
From book to theatre
In UK The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was published as a book for children and a book for adults at the same time, and it won prestigious awards in both categories. In Norway the book was published in 2004 and it quickly became a success here too. The British theatre production opened in 2012, and became a sensation; all of seven Olivier Awards it won. In this country The Norwegian Theatre is first to stage it."
