At the webpage of Dansens Hus the following, among other things, is written about Adventura botanica:

"Almost 150 years ago, Charles Darwin concluded that there must be an insect with a snout long enough to pollinate the amazing star orchid of Madagascar- though nobody had ever seen such an insect. Thirty years after the death of Darwin, it was discovered - Morgan's Spinx moth or Xanthopan morganii praedicta, named after Darwin's predictions.

Like Darwin researched co-evolution of plants and insects, Fritzøe's ensemble has found inspiration in the stories of Darwin's theories. The Spunk is responsible for the music, and together, the team of artists has developed movement, intense noise poetry, light sculptures and dynamic visual arts."

At the webpage of Odd Johan Fritzøe the following, among other things, is written about Adventura botanica:

"Inspired by Charles Darwin's 150th anniversary and his research into co-evolution of plants and insects the show comprises a series of studies in dance accompanied by choreographed lighting and sound. The stage design's multiple white surfaces create a space for open-ended interpretations by an adult male dancing around a totem. The performance was on tour in 2015 as part of Concerts Norway's nationwide program. Batteries power the soundscapes and lighting and the show is portable - it can be performed outdoors. "
