Vardøger* (Warning spirits)

Vardøger* (Warning spirits) (1999) was a theatre production by The Arctic Theatre in collaboration with The National Sami Theatre Beaivváš, based on a play by Hilde Skancke Pedersen.
The production had its world premiere during Arctic Arts Festival. A new version was performed during the same festival two years later.

Alex Scherpf directed it.

Bjørn Sundquist, who was resident festival artist in 1999, played the role of Osku.

Ketil Høegh played the role of King Olav Tryggvason.

Vardøger was nominated for one Hedda Award: Halldis Hoaas was nominated for The Hedda Award 1999 in the open category for the dramaturgy.
