At the webpage of The Arctic Theatre the following, among other things, is written about The Threepenny Opera:
"The expectations to the new version of The Threepenny Opera, the theatre's second version of Brecht's musical success, were also great. (The first was the opening performance from October 26 1971). [...] The production was treated roughly by the critics, and was removed from the program after only nine performances when the audiences failed to come, too."

Astrid Sletbakk, date unknown, Verdens Gang [Oslo]:
"Reduced to a love story, with text not reaching out, acting in half-darkness and a strange parade of condom-tight plastic clothes, a picture of outwardly, vain theatre not caring about communicating with its audience."
