The Angel of Corruption
The Angel of Corruption (2012) was a production by Krakk Noir.
At the webpage of Black Box Teater the following, among other things, is written aboutThe Angel of Corruption:
"We tell the story about how the Norse god Odin was the moving force not just behind the building of the Norwegian nation during the 19th century, but also in the development of the 20th century's welfare state - and further, how Odin lost hold of the realities during the last 20 years, in the age of financial capital and high-value documents. Odin is not alone in this. Few persons understand how today's finance reality really works. Our knowledge and myths about Norway are past their expiry dates. In the play Odin, in despair, realises that he has to do something about this."

At the webpage of Black Box Teater the following, among other things, is written aboutThe Angel of Corruption:
"Krakk noir arose as a logical consequence of the exciting mix of the exciting mix of stock market crashes (the Norwegian term is krakk), finance criticism and dialectic theatre. With the production The Angel of Corruption opera director Susanne Øglænd and composer and musician Rolf-Erik Nystrøm join forces with writer Øyvind Berg to continue their collaboration on post-dramatic and interdisciplinary experimentation within the field of musical theatre.
(...)
The corrupt crow following Odin convinces him to repeat his old sacrifice and to invest his last eye. Blind and powerful Odin has success and he wins back the control of the banking sector and society on a whole.
(...)
Opera director Susanne Øglænd excels in Europe with her intensive treatment of classic opera works, and with her emphasis on innovation and performing new works.
Writer and poet Øyvind Berg is also known as a driving force behind the artist collective Baktruppen, making a mark for the past three decades throughout an avant-gardist, humorous approach to theatre and performance art.
Composer and sax player Rolf-Erik Nystrøm has conquered all the corners and all the genres of the world with his music. His most recent project with Susanne Øglænd was based on Verdi and Schiller, and involved musicians whose backgrounds were from classical music, jazz and pop. This time Nystrøm has wanted to gather his renowned colleagues, the percussionist Per Oddvar Johansen and violinist Nils Økland, who will together give tones to the voices of Odin and the crow, the actors Trond Høvik and Anne E. Kokkinn respectively.
