The Abandoned Doll
The Abandoned Doll (1993) was a theatre production by The Norwegian Touring Theatre, based on the text El circulito de tiza o Historia de una muñeca abandonada by Alfonso Sastre. Sastre's play is inspired by Bertolt Brecht's play The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
Petter Næss directed it.
The production was filmed, and broadcast by Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
El circulito de tiza o Historia de una muñeca abandonada means The Small Chalk Circle, or The Story of the Abandoned Doll. This Norwegian production was performed using the title Historien om den forlatte dokka, meaning The Story of the Abandoned Doll. The same play has also been produced in Norway under variations of both titles. This production used the title Den fillete dokka (literally: The raggedy doll).
