Ingen tid for stolte skuter is about Henrik. He is old, and the ocean flows in his living room. He doesn't enjoy his personal assistant's company. She has secrets. None of them wants to spend time with the other.

But life has to be lived and the floor has to be cleaned. Twice a week. They yet don't know this is their last chance to grab hold of each other. But why should they?

More

Ingen tid for stolte skuter* (No time for proud ships) by Gut og kar produksjoner in collaboration with Temte Productions is mostly about Henrik's battle to hold onto and define his own life. What is and what was.

According to the companies, Ingen tid for stolte skuter is a piece about dignity, life lies and needing somebody. And about the ocean, death and love, of course.

It is also part of the discussion about care for the elderly in Norway. Who is responsible for us when we need help? Do we miss out on anything when we delegate the care for those closes to us?

Most people want to live for a long time. But do we want to get old? Do we dare to let go of control to trust that somebody manages our lives for us? Perhaps even somebody we don't know? The way care is organised in Norway today, the answer ought to be an unconditional yes.
