Udhavn Teater (Udhavn Theatre) writes the following about Doctor Glas:

"Hjalmar Söderberg's diary novel Doctor Glas from 1905 is a love triangle drama. The participators are a doctor with his potassium cyanide pills, an elderly clergyman and the clergyman's young, beautiful wife.

With friendly irony and melancholy Söderberg conveys a feeling of being confided in by the doctor, come to the 'mercy killing' he eventually entangles in. The story is at one and the same time a description of Stockholm, ethic philosophy and crime story."
