Kurt Hermansen

Kurt Hermansen is a Norwegian light designer.

Hermansen has been an employee of The National Theatre, had assignments at The Norwegian Touring Theatre and most regional theatre, worked for independent theatre companies and modern dance companies, for art exhibitions, artistic decorations, museums, concerts plus been responsible for light projects of his own in city spaces and other landscapes.

Kurt Hermansen has worked for The Norwegian National Sami Theatre Company Beaivváš Sámi Našunálateáhter from its start in 1981, and was part of the management of the theatre during the test period towards the end of the 1980es.

Kurt Hermansen and Roger Ludvigsen were nominated for The Hedda Award 2014 in the best audiovisual design category for their music, light and sound design for The Frost-haired and the Dream-seer by Nils Aslak Valkeapää, directed by Haukur J.
