At the webpage of Udhavn Teater (Udhavn Theatre) the following is written about The Teacher:

"This is what the teacher thinks about his pupils in this comedy. His career started with hostility from his pupils, indifference from his colleagues, distrust from the management. One day he does what all teachers from time to other may want to do, but nobody, thank God, does...

The result is disastrous. Still he is a national hero during the deep-going school reform of 2003 - AKA 'The reform of the reforms'.

A black comedy about teachers and pupils in Belgian upper secondary school. In its grotesque madness this is both a warm and thought-provoking play."
