In the autumn program of BIT Teatergarasjen 1999 the following is written about Trette menn - hundre år etter* (Weary Men - hundred years after) by Krement X:

"Krement X enters with a physically deep-thrusting and philosophically brutal glance at Arne Garborg's novel of decadence from the previous century. Five male dancers/actors and a DJ compete for the attention of the audience and each other using dark humour and superficial sobriety.

The main character of the play, the half Bohemian Gabriel, has beginning problems with keeping the feeling of emptiness away. He dreams of greatness and artistic success, but is drawn towards harmonic family life and stable income.

With the meaning of life as the potential cost, the five performers examine typically male characteristics such as aggression, playfulness, self-pity, air-guitar, competition mentality and hung-over hunger. 'In lack of woman one has to do with God, in lack of happiness one has to do with piety'."

The company was supported by Arts Council Norway and the municipality of Bergen, the department of culture.

Weary Men (original title: Trætte mænd) is an 1891 novel by Norwegian writer Arne Garborg. It is now considered a Norwegian classic.
