More

Home - Jewish Soul from Europe by Teater Dybbuk - Oslo conveys the story of Bente Kahan’s family, and through it, the general story about European Jews.

In Home - Jewish Soul from Europe Kahan sings songs in Yiddish and Hebraic as well as the languages in the countries where her family has lived, songs that have included much of the continent’s folklore and traditions. The songs constitute meetings between the Jewish and the Non-Jewish Europe in themselves.

Home - Jewish Soul from Europe by Teater Dybbuk - Oslo has toured Scandinavia, Germany, Poland, England and the Netherlands. It can be performed by Bente Kahan alone with a guitar, or by her band Swedish Klezmer Band, with Dariusz Swinoga, Miroslaw Kuzniak, Mirolsaw "Carlos" Kaczmarczyk and Javid Afsari Rad.
