More

In the autumn program of BIT Teatergarasjen 2001 the following is written about tall/blonde by karen foss quiet works:

"In tall/blonde Karen Foss challenges the audience's look at and perception of the beautiful. With our traditional expectations of aesthetic experiences within performing arts, in particular dance, we stigmatise the expression, reducing it to a pretty shell without layers and depth rooming reflection.

Foss grabs hold of codes and systems driving the machinery, exposing it to the audience. The music and the costumes are elements that can speculatively anaesthetise the glance and rub an expression down to the visually beautiful, the fragile and vulnerable."
