In Life Machine produced by House of Stories and Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre) stage and costume designer Christine Lohre and Lene Therese Teigen collaborated about the visual concept. The basis was that all actors were to be present onstage all the time, and that they were to operate in different spaces at the same time. Because of this Christine Lohre made a space concept which were not meant to be realistic, but where the space alluded to the indoors and the outdoors at the same time – and where action could be ongoing at different levels.
The production was supported by Arts Council Norway and The Audio Visual Fund, and it was a co-production between House of Stories and Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre).
