In preparation to Delete Delight Teater NOR asked a group of lower secondary school pupils from Oslo and Lofoten about the meaning of the words «in love», «love», «freedom», «death» and «manipulation». The youth talked directly into a video camera without any preparation. Delete Delight is built around the answers they gave.
Sissel Helgesen and Inger Bakke processed the video images. They projected them into a room and captured them on folding screens, clothes and pieces of cloth. Mixed with live music and physical tableaus they developed a three-dimensional image world in which youth talk directly to youth.
Delete Delight is placed in the range between documentary film and the actresses’ physical choreography and reflections in dialogue with this.
