On the webpage of Dramatikkens hus the following is written about The Truth Will Out:
"A grand epic dream of media and personal responsibility based on the shooting drama at E. O. Green School in America in 2008.
Jason Malone is 15 years old and gay. He has stolen a gun and locked himself into the office of the school's headmaster. When he calls a live news show and threatens to kill himself it is the scoop of a lifetime for news anchor Whittemore Walter. But when Jason says that the only thing that may stop him from committing suicide is that Walter himself comes out of the closet, Walter is facing the most difficult choice of his life."
After the reading the company arranged an onstage conversation with playwright Jordan Seavey on his involvement in society and politics, the way it is expressed through his writing. Seavey has worked actively for gay rights, also when a close friend of his last year was brutally beaten in a New York street for being gay.
The play is translated into Norwegian as Sannheten skal frem by Michael H. Sciarrone and Øystein Ulsberg Brager.
