In the performance program of aktuell rapport* (contemporary report) by Jon Tombre the following, among other things, is written about the production:

"aktuell rapport consists of four stories, based on interviews with the four performers. Through seemingly simple questions about identity - who are you and who do you want to be - there were revealed issues leading to new and more complicated questions.

Five years have passed since director Jon Tombre last presented a project of his own. With aktuell rapport he presents a scenic documentary, a kind of dogma theatre in which neither text nor other elements has been found outside of, but is created by the people involved in the performance. Nothing is sampled or stolen. This is original goods from start to end.

Writer and short film maker Dag Johan Haugerud (De syv dødssynder - Utukt) has spent a day with each of the performers; the dancers Inger Malene Glette, Ulf Nilseng, Cecilie Lindeman Steen and the P3 journalist Shaun Henrik Mathesson. Based on interviews with them Haugerud has written the stories the performance consists of; four witty, moving and honest portraits staged by Jon Tombre in collaboration with architect Lisbeth Funck.

In this fictional reportage of today the tension between the 'artificial' and the 'real' is reflected. What is wishful thinking, what is manipulation and what is the truth about us? Through small fragments life dramas, alienation, loneliness and longing for love and comfort are suggested. Where is the limit between documentary and fiction in our relationship to ourselves?"
