Duell: Sons of Liberty 2* (Duel: Sons of Liberty 2)
Duell: Sons of Liberty2 (2004) by Sons of Liberty. With the help of a classical tale, revue and slapstick, Sons of Liberty gives a neck breaking interpretation of the hero in modern popular culture. The superhero is our alter ego, representing the dream of being invulnerable in the service of good.

The actors are both heroes and victims, and change between the good and the bad. Fragments of fictional texts as well as references to comics, film and popular culture are used in this experiment in new stage expressions. Themes such as sexuality, death and honour are dealt with using references to movies such as Braveheart and The Lord of the Rings. The performance has a critical subtext, bringing aspects of modern society into the absurd.
The troupe is collaborating with German director Veit Sprenger of Showcase Beat Le Mot and Swedish set designer Anja-Lisa Rudka.
The performance is a co-production with Teaterhuset Avant-Garde and is funded by The Arts Council Norway, The Sound and Vision Fund, The Goethe Institute, The Norwegian Actors' Association and the municipality of Trondheim.
