In the solo work Transcription/Rach 3 by and with Janne-Camilla Lyster, the foundation was the score of Rachmaninoff's piano concert no. 3 in developing a 20 minute long movement sequence.

In Transcription/Rach 3 by Janne-Camilla Lyster the idea of transcribing from written music to physical movement was the basis of the artistic exploration.
Transcription is a term used in, among other contexts, linguistics and music studies. In Transcription/Rach 3 Janne-Camilla Lyster has emphasised the meaning of the term referring to transferring text (here: notes) to another form (here: movement)
In the process Lyster related solely to the notes/the score, and not the audible performance of the work. The aim was to develop a transcription key relevant to the project.
The reason to the choice of musical piece was the reputation of this piano concert; that it can drive pianists mad because of its technical difficulty. This awoke Lyster's curiosity and interest: Would the technical challenge be noticed when the score was used as a choreographic script? Would a dancer's body in motion be able to capture the complexity of the score? Which sides of the score would be the most appropriate for dance, and which would seem clearest through dance? How could the flow, precision and lightness of the piece be transcribed into a physical expression?
The movement sequence was performed without music.
