Black by Mette Edvardsen is a solo performance about allowing things to become visible. The space is empty; there is nothing there. Aided by the performer, who like a medium creates contact between the audience and what is in the room, a world is created, assisted by words and movement.
This is a performance in time and space in which only the body is physically present. The body performs actions and handles invisible objects, while it continuously attempts to bridge the invincible gap between thought and experience, here and there.
Black by Mette Edvardsen was supported by Norsk Kulturråd, Fond fo utøvende kunstnere, Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts).
