Noahs Ark (Noah's Ark)

Noahs Ark* (Noah's Ark) by The Puppetry Company Dukkenikkerne is a puppetry performance for the whole family. The Biblical story about the great flood makes the framework around Noah's Ark. But despite the dramatic foundation, this is a warm and fun story.

In Noahs Ark* (Noah's Ark) by The Puppetry Company Dukkenikkerne we meet Naomi, the grandchild of Noah. She is a wise and intelligent little girl who can do something not everyone cans – talk to the animals. This turns out to be a practical gift, as she assists in taking care of all the animals flooding to the Ark from near and far. All the adults are busy building the boat, so the animals become her friends and playmates. But Naomi’s loyalty and consciousness is tested when the hawk kills the dove couple and she has to take responsibility for the three eggs in the nest. How can Naomi obey her grandfather’s command about there only being room for one male and one female of each type of animal, when she has three eggs to watch?

The performance is supported by The Cultural Rucksack, The Fund for Performing Artists,  Bergen Riksmålsforening (the Bergen department of the linguistic association Riksmålsforbundet), the municipality of Bergen, the county of Hordaland and the bank Sparebanken Vest/Visjon Vest, Arts Council Norway.
