More

In Morgenfuglen* (The Early Bird) by Hege Haagenrud one sister is tender and thoughtful, the other stubborn and selfish. The strange thing is that the selfish sister has a way with animals. All the animals simply love her, even the early bird, though she keeps it entrapped in a small box.

One day, the tender sister finds the box, opens it and releases the bird. Will it return? If it does, which sister will it choose? And why is it so tired?

Morgenfuglen wishes to be a subtle performance. The story is told through puppets, text, dance and mime.

Agnes Nystad and Josefin Johansson alternated in the role of the selfish sister whereas Torgunn Wold Platzack and Anne Marthe Lund-Engnes alternated in the role of the tender sister.
