A change is gonna come!
A change is gonna come! was a collaborative project between Grenland Friteater, Seljordspelet and Dyrsku'n. The audience was allowed to experience how a day at the cattle show Dyrsku'n could have been during the 1960es. We followed a colourful family with great expectations to life and the cattle marked on their journey from a distant farm in the valley of Hjartdal to the place of the fair, Dyrskuplassen. Once there they encountered a swarm of people.

"In much this cattle show could remind of May 17th (the Norwegian Constitutional Day), when sun and warmth had made the young and old put on their most colourful bunads (Norwegian national costumes). Along with the red and white cattle from Telemark, a colourful Tivoli tent, nickel plated farming machines and swinging balloons; the whole thing had an air of the Oriental. Gypsies, soothsayers and clock-sellers followed up to create an old fashioned market ambience. The leader of the show was the county agronomist Torvald Indrebø, who in a nice opening speech underlined the great value animal husbandry has in Norwegian farming."
