More

In the puppetry performance Fryd på jord* (Joy on Earth) by The Puppetry Company Kattas Figurteater Ensemble the arch angel Fryd (literally: Joy) comes to earth to prepare the large outdoors concert on the fields outside Bethlehem, during which she was to open the big silver suitcase sent with her by the Boss. Without this, Christmas can’t start. Miss Lucifer tried to steal the suitcase, using any means, to stop Christmas.

The arch angel Fryd lands on earth with a big noise. This happens about one minute, 22 seconds and three hundreds of a second prior to the time the gifted angel assistant Gustav has calculated. Is this the fields outside of Bethlehem, or does Fryd has to spread her wings, pack away the necessary and unnecessary angel equipment and fly on?

Fryd på jord by The Puppetry Company Kattas Figurteater Ensemble is an including play about Christmas preparations, friendship, learning how to fly, gathering angels in finding the right note and make sure everything is ready when the time is the exact right for the birth.

Press coverage

"Joy for the children (...) Yesterday the puppetry company Katta i Sekken held its final dress rehearsal for the Christmas performance Fryd på jord. The angels landed softly and were a hit among the children in the kindergarten of Gipø".
