In No Doctor for the Dead by Grenland Friteater Geddy Aniksdal gave voice to Georg Johannesen's texts from the 1950es and 60es in a simplistic and direct way, providing associations to Brecht’s cabaret, beat poetry and rock'n roll.
Georg Johannesen's poetic texts are often about subjects not usually regarded as poetic; distance, indifference and lack of emotion. But they are nevertheless sensitive to important issues such as war, peace, violence, history and politics.
When Georg Johannesen died in 2005 he was hailed as the leading Norwegian author of his generation. Johannesen's texts have been the basis for a series of productions by Grenland Friteater since 1995.
No Doctor for the Dead by Grenland Friteater was supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts).

S. Jonas. Uppsala Nya Tidning:
"The highlight of Friday was No Doctor for the Dead (...) Tori Amos-smelling piano pieces and existential anger in a rocking good combination."
(2008, 24.11). Varden:
"Aniksdal retrieves her darkest side and makes a strong interpretation. When it is weaved together with Hagnell’s velvet-soft voice, the evil grows larger than the stage (...)"
