Trompetkonserten* (The Trumpet Concert) by Liset Productions started as an ordinary concert. But because of a curious assistant the concert didn’t go quite as planned.
Trompetkonserten developed into a meeting between the musician and the assistant, wondering about and exploring of the trumpet as an instrument, moods in music, different sounds and what music really is. As part of the exploration the musician played music ranging from classical trumpet works via pop music and songs for children to modern compositions, improvisations and sound effects.
Trompetkonserten opened January 5 2011. During January/February 2011 the concert toured different kindergartens within the municipality of Tromsø, and it was all in all performed for 16 groups of children.
Trompetkonserten by Liset Productions was supported by Arts Council Norway and produced in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tromsø.
