Stellaris Dance Theatre and Solveig Leinan-Hermo aims to give more dance artists the option to realise their ideas through the Young Choreographer project. Several young choreographers/dancers have taken part. Several also have continued their work by producing productions or tours under the management of Stellaris or in other contexts.

Besides the cultural-political ideas behind the Young Choreographer project it is important to Stellaris Dance Theatre to point out that the different projects double as workshops. Workshops provide the young dance artists with the option to err and to continue working with ideas until they succeed. Rare are the options to include a pre-project in a choreography process during with the artist has a professional team of collaborators and consultant nearby. The size of the projects and the number of performances however must be adjusted to the funds it is possible to raise.
