Live* by Wee was developed from an investigation into vision and illusion, the everyday and unreality, artificiality and misrepresentation. Live* takes place in an acoustic and visual environment where reality and its electronic/virtual reproduction are never clearly distinguished but intersect one with the other, between them creating complex, continually variable relations.
Live* by Wee was originally commissioned by the Venice Biennale, and has toured around Europe and to South America and India.
In 2003 Live* by Wee won first prize in The International Competition of Electroacoustic Music and Sonic Art in Bourges, France.
Live* by Wee was supported by The Norwegian Culture Fund, The Audio Visual Fund, The Fund for Performing Artists and the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts).
