Elsa Laula

Elsa Laula (2020) was a digital theatre production by Åarjelhsaemien Teatere (the Southern Sami Theatre) and The Touring Theatre of Trøndelag. Elsa Laula was based on a text by Cecilia Persson, Liv Hege Nylund and Ada Einmo Jürgensen. The digital production was based on the theatre production Elsa Laula from 2012, revived in 2017. The recording was made available through The Touring Theatre in Trøndelag's webpage during the Corona crisis of 2020. Access was free.
Liv Hege Nylund directed the theatre production.
Nora Evensen was responsible for the TV direction.
Cecilia Persson performed it.
Elsa Laula Renberg (1877-1931) was a pioneer in the fight for Sami rights.
