Parc de la Villette

La Villette (L’Etablissement public du Parc et de la grande halle de la Villette AKA EPPGHV) in Paris, established in 1993, is an urban cultural park which combines arts, urban culture and biodiversity. La Villette programmes circus, dance, theater, urban culture and cinema.

La Villette originates from L'Etablissement Public du Parc de la Villette (EPPV) which was created in 1979.

Parc de la Villette is one of the largest parks in Paris, located at the north-eastern edge of the 19th arrondissement. The park houses one of the largest concentrations of cultural venues in Paris, including Europe's largest science museum, the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, three major concert venues and the prestigious Conservatoire de Paris. The park was designed by Bernard Tschumi.
