Hedmarksmuseet
The museum Hedmarksmuseet was established in 1906 and has the old region of Hedmarken as its activity area, covering the municipalities of Hamar, Stange, Løten and Ringsaker.

Hedmarksmuseet has 65 antiquarian buildings and a collection of approximately 50 000 items. The museum also include large parts of the area in which the medieval market town Hamarkaupangen was located, including the ruins of the cathedral, the bishop's mansion and several other buildings.
The fixed exhibition is set in the building called Storhamarlåven, originally from the 18th century, reconstructed into a museum by architect Sverre Fehn. The museum has the largest herbal garden in Norway.
