Teater M

Teater M was founded by Maj-Britt Fjøsne in the fall of 2004. She is also the head of the theatre. The theatre works together with various artists from the free performing arts in its projects.

Maj-Britt Fjøsne is a trained actor and teacher in theatre/drama. She was a co-founder of Balteateret in 1992, and was a central figure in Balteateret's artistic and educational work from 1992 until 2000. Maj-Britt Fjøsne worked as a theatre and drama teacher in junior high schools and high schools from 2000 until 2004.

With experience from the free professional performing arts and schools, Teater M is well suited to develop new and exciting performing arts projects for schools. Teater M aims to involve the students in the artistic process, and to create theatrical projects in which youth are contributors and actors.

Teater M experiments and plays with the possibilities in the language of theatre, and wishes to bring these experiments into the schools and explore them together with the students.

It is exciting for us to explore what happens when adult performing artists and children meet to work alongside each other in a creative space.
