Gruvekompaniet was founded 1995 in Arendal, Norway, then established their operation in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1998. Gruvekompaniet is a touring theatre whose performances have toured Norway, Denmark, Poland, Latvia, France and USA.
Gruvekompaniet creates performances like mirrors to the audience, to create a space in time, a time for thought and reflections. Based in different types of stories, their own or others, the performers wish to draw attention to the intriguing aspects of life. The inspiration comes from the physical options an actor has to express himself.
