International Folk Puppet Festival
International Folk Puppet Festival has taken place annually since 2004 at the Museum of Puppetry in Lahore, inside Rafi Peer Cultural Centre, spread across 3 acres of land. In 1992 Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop staged its first Puppet Festival which became the International Folk Puppet Festival. The festival has become an annual feature of the city’s cultural and entertainment scene, celebrating the best folk puppeteers of Pakistan and from around the world.

The International Folk Puppet Festival has been organised to create awareness among the public about the art of puppetry through the workshop.
Each year a theme is selected to give form to the programming. It seeks to preserve puppetry which belonged to the ancient civilisation in Rajasthan.
