Music Factory
Music Factory was a festival for avant garde music, dance and performance established by Geir Johnson and the American pianist Yvar Mikhashoff in Bergen in 1985.

Music Factory's first event in 1987 took place in close collaboration with Bergen International Festival, and it gained a lot of attention because of its programming, so different from other Norwegian musical institution's programming.
The festival took place in USF in the period from 1987 to 1995, when the festival began to move around Bergen until it in 2004 merged with the Autunnale festival.
Music Factory emphasised international trends in contemporary music, perhaps American music in particular, and was significant for the growth of the new Norwegian composer generation, appearing from the middle of the 1980es.
