Scenes from a Marriage was based on a play and a TV series by Ingmar Bergman, in a Norwegian version by Arne Lygre. The digital version was a live-streamed recording of the theatre production Scenes from a Marriage from 2019. The production was performed live at Rogaland Theatre's main stage, without an audience in the auditorium. The recording was broadcast live at Rogaland Theatre's Facebook site and at aftenbladet.no April 17 2020, during the corona crisis. The production was only available during the live broadcast. The access was free, but with the opportunity to donate money to the theatre via the payment app Vipps.
