Zerline's Tale

Zerline's Tale is a short story by Hermann Broch. The original title in German is Die Erzählung der Magd Zerline. The short story was first published in the collection Die Schuldlosen, translated into the English as The Guiltless, and into the Norwegian as De skyldløse. The Norwegian title of the printed story is Hushjelpen Zerlines fortelling. It has been performed as theatre using the titles Frøken Zerline (literally: Miss Zerline) and Tjenestejenta Zerline (literally: The Maid Zerline).
